The schoolies festival (22 Nov - 14 Dec) fills the Gold Coast with partying teens celebrating thier final year school gaduations. We recommend families not to book accommodation in Surfers Paradise during this time as it can become quite intense and rowdy. If you are to attend the schoolies festival (restricted access) we recommend you book as soon as you can to ensure you have a room to stay. In general most hotels and apartments are fully booked during this time.
